My name is Jason Sutcliffe, but I prefer Jay, I am 32, with a beautiful wife and 6 month old son, I love sports, holding hands and long walks on the beach, I live in a house with a picket fence and a perfectly cut lawn, I have a 3-year-old German Sheppard, and a cat, I own a minivan, I raise money for 10 different local charities and spend my free time walking around cleaning up the community.
Ok, everything after I love sports is BS. I actually live in a two bedroom apartment in the community I grew up in, my apartment is too small for a dog, I hate cats, don’t like driving, the most charity work I do is to give my time coaching youth soccer in the community and the only thing I do to keep the community clean is to make sure I throw my garbage in the garbage.
I have made more mistakes than I would ever care to admit, but I work hard every day to be a better person. That in it self has been one hell of a long road, but I am proud to say that I am light years ahead of the person I used to be.
I am currently 1 year into my Journalism program and hope to make a career of it when I am done. The thing I work hardest at is being a good example for the kids in my family. I love my parents for giving me the moral foundation to pull myself out of bad situations and become the person I was supposed to be.
I fill the need for competition in my life by running marathons; I am looking to qualify for the Boston Marathon this October when I run the Scotia Bank Marathon in my home city of Toronto. There is not much else to say I am a pretty simple, easygoing dude.
I hope you enjoy the blog as much as I enjoy writing them!
